The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and it's consultants, URS Corporation and Taschek Environmental Consulting, convened a Stakeholder Meeting on February 12, 2008 in Aztec at San Juan County facilities for the County Road 7950 project. The meeting continued the pattern of vague, unclear deliberations concerning format of the "environmental document," purpose and need of the project, Cooperating Agency and stakeholder designations, and accountability of federal funds. It appears that URS and Taschek have spent a large proportion of the $250,000 of federal funds designated for the National Environmental Policy Act study of CR 7950 and associated actions, yet no document has been prepared to date.
